Hi, I'm Shauna Maxwell.

I am a full time photographer based out of Warwick, New York. I started doing photography when I was 13- that's about 13 years ago now. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I really enjoy hiking and looking at the stars. Getting to use my creative side doing something I love is just the best! I went to school for business, but in the end, thinking about working a 9-5 job was torture to me. I knew I needed to continue to do what I am passionate about.

I'M THE TYPE OF PERSON TO DANCE IN THE POURING RAIN AND LAUGH THE WHOLE TIME AND PROBABLY DRAG YOU OUT THERE WITH ME. I LOVE HIKES AND NATURE AND PRETTY PLACES. PICNICS, ROLLING HILLS, STAR GAZING, LONG WALKS ON THE BEACH, AND LISTENING TO THUNDER STORMS ARE A FEW THINGS THAT SET MY SOUL ON FIRE. I BELIEVE IN DOING WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND PROVING THOSE WHO TELL YOU THAT YOU CANNOT WRONG. PHOTOGRAPHY IS JUST MY WAY OF SAYING 'WATCH ME.' THEY SAY IF YOU DO WHAT YOU LOVE, YOU'LL NEVER WORK ANOTHER DAY IN YOUR LIFE. SO, HERE I AM. DOING WHAT I LOVE. AND I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD.

When I take your photos, I will guide you but I won't be your typical photographer. With me your photos will be a fun experience. My goal is always for you to have quality photos and a great time. I'll allow your natural awkwardness to shine through (in a good way). Photography is more than something on your to-do list, it truly is an investment. You will treasure these photographs forever. Have you ever thought back on a moment and thought 'Man, I wish I had some really good photos of XX' ? I know I have. And that's the value of having a good photographer. Sure, now a days almost anyone can take photos- but do you really want to trust just anyone to take your photos? I wouldn't. That is why it is so important to really feel safe with your photographer and trust them. Photography is an investment and a collaboration. I want to get to know you and I want you to know me.
